The 1.2 PureTech ECU tracks belt wear. After fitting a new belt, the ECU must be told the timing is now at "zero-stretch" to optimize ignition timing.

New Variable Valve Timing solenoids require a range-of-motion test. We use Diagbox to cycle the valves and store the new operating positions.

Improper timing values lead to engine knock and poor fuel economy. Resetting the learned values forces the ECU to re-map the air-fuel ratio immediately.
